What is the Swann Insurance Australasian Superbike Championship?

The Australasian Superbike Championship (ASC) is the very pinnacle of motorcycle road bike racing in Australia. The ASC, or as it is more affectionately known, the Swann Series, is without any doubt fielding the most talent-packed grid of competitors in Australia in many years, and the racing to date this year has more than proven that. The nationally televised Championship itself consists of six rounds that are held across four states in Australia and spans over an eight month period from March to November.

The Swann Series, apart from attracting the most talented Australian motorcycle racers, has also attracted quite a number of international motorcycle riders to the Championship throughout the season. The series also plays host to plenty of local hot shot riders who are out to prove that they can mix it up with the stars when the show comes to their hometown.

With a huge amount of entries at every round of the Championship, the ASC brings with it a loyal band of fans, with more than 38,000 followers on Facebook, as well as all of the factory riders and teams. The Australasian Superbike Championship is a show in itself and prides itself in being a town economy booster and a true tourist attraction.
