A nine car grid featuring Ford Mustang and Chevrolet Camaro-bodied cars will take to The Paperclip for this weekend’s Ipswich Classic meeting.
“The pace will have certainly picked up since Lakeside now that everyone has had a chance to drive their cars in anger,” said TA2 representative Craig Harris.

Canberra racer Chad Cotton secured the inaugural round victory at Lakeside Park in a Ford Mustang after former Supercars privateer Harris claimed pole and the series’ maiden win to seal a Mustang one-two clean sweep of the weekend.
Relive the racing era of the 60’s and 70’s with Group N Historic Touring Cars this weekend. Group N originated with the vehicles called the Appendix J. Appendix J were vehicles from the early to mid 60’s.

This weekend there will be 28 cars racing on the track with battles all through the field.
The last race of the day on Saturday will be the Harvey Black Endurance race. This is a handicapped reverse grid race that starts from pit lane. This means that anyone can be the outright winner.
Trans Am returns to Queensland Raceway for their final championship round of 2016. The Ipswich Classic (15th-16th of October) will see an intense battle for their remaining championship in the Classic class. This round will also see the departure of series favourite,
