Hot Cars and Hot Wheels at Cruise Fest

Cruise Fest is back in 2017 after an incredibly successful inaugural event in 2016 and this time it’s going to be bigger and better. Matt Mingay will make his public return in 2017 at Lakeside Park this sunday, the 5th of February! Mingay and his Hot Wheels team are going to smoke up some tyres and show off on the main straight for everyone at Cruise Fest!

The crowd will be treated to awesome stunt driving maneuvers from the Hot Wheels crew and Mingay. Mingay is without doubt the most popular action sports athlete in the entire Oceania region, with a reach and penetration beyond that of australian motorsport champions and countless other iconic sporting identities.

Matt Mingay and Stuntz Inc have been the undisputed leaders of action sports entertainment since 1998.An impeccable safety record is just part of the reason that global brand names such as Harley Davidson and General Motors have backed up their sponsorship for more than a decade.

With the Hot Wheels team on board, Cruise Fest is going to be a massive day of action at Lakeside Park. Cruise sessions open for all makes and models of cars start at 9:15am and at 1:00pm the drag eliminators start! The 1/8th mile drag challenges are always popular at Lakeside and at Cruise Fest there’s a $1,500 winner takes all prize up for grabs! Entrants for the drag challenge are already showing a wide field and regulars to the 1/8th mile Lakeside Drags might see a few new challengers around.

There’s plenty to see and do at Cruise Fest on and off track with different vendors around and a show ‘n’ shine running during the day. Sunday will provide some hi-octane family fun at Lakeside with on track action from 8.15am with the Hi-Octane Breaky and Laps up until the late afternoon!
