The Sportsman Series will be hotly contested this weekend, with Alwyn Bishop out to defend his series lead against Harry Charalambous and the returning Martin O’Kane. The Sportsman Series is another sub-class within Australian Trans-Am classified for ‘drivers of over 5-Litre vehicles doing it as much for fun as they are success.’

The 5 Litre Classics will be contested by Len Balme, Mike Collins and Tricia Chant. Balme returns to the grid after engine troubles put him out of the running at the Two Days of Thunder, but still maintains a one-point lead over Collins in the series standings. Chant will be out to continue her successful run of form that saw her take out the 5 Litre honours last time out at Queensland Raceway. The Five Litre Classics is a popular sub-class within Australian Trans-Am for cars not exceeding a Five-Litre engine capacity.
