QR SPRING DRIFT MATSURI
THIS WEEKEND | QLD RACEWAY
The annual QR Spring Matsuri is finally upon us.
This weekend, over 200 drifters will take to the QR circuit. They'll have 4 different drifting circuits to choose from, and will have no shortage of track time, with the circuit open from 8am each morning, running through until 10pm on Saturday night, and late afternoon on Sunday.
The Queensland Raceway Drift Matsuri
events are the biggest drifting events held in Australia, with two full days of non-stop drifting action.
This year, The Unprofessionals, Robert Parsons aka "Chair Slayer", Hertrech Eugene Jr & Brandon Kado will be in the house.
Massive thanks must go to our friends at Shannons for helping to make this happen!, Hoonigan for allowing the boys out of the country on another field trip, and a few others including Tye Jefferies,
Tyson Litfin and friends for their assistance in helping accommodate the boys.
For fans of drifting and recreational motorsport, this is a weekend not to be missed. With 24 hours of on-track time, there'll be more action then you can poke a stick at.

2018 Lakeside 300 | Lakeside Park
Laves and Whatmore Victorious.
Last weekend, Lakeside Park played host to the final round of the 2018 Queensland Endurance Championship - the Lakeside 300.
Willowbank 300 winners, Jayson Cassells and Ken Samway were a late scratching from the race, after Semway crashed in a very wet morning warm-up session.
The Skies cleared for the 124-lap race, but the drama continued, when the Ford Mustang of
Scott Simpson and Graham Woodward broke an axle on the sighting lap.
When the race got underway, the Toyota 86, of Trent Laves and Callum Whatmore, was in a league of its own. Whatmore was a lap clear of the field when he handed over to Laves.
Laves went onto record a 63-second victory over the BMW of Warwick Douglas and Andrew Knight, with the Mitsubishi of Scott McLennan and Cameron McLean rounding out the podium.
The victory was Toyota's first in a 300, and was enough for
Trent Laves to secure the Queensland Endurance Championship crown for 2018!

Our Track Action Ride Days have been hugely popular so far in 2018, and there are plenty more chances to get involved throughout the remainder of 2018.
Next up: Lakeside Park next Saturday, October 13.
Ride days are exciting and fun on-track experiences for all riders, from first timers through to seasoned track day junkies, who prefer riding on a closed
race track environment, rather than public roads.
We cater for all levels of riders, with four individual groups that a rider can chose from, according to their experience and ability.
Our Ride Days won't feature any racing, nor will they be practice days for racing events. They are aimed squarely at the leisure ride day motorcyclists, wanting to have a fun day at the track.
