Ipswich Classic the Final Leg of Classic Sports Sedans Season
This weekend, the curtain will come down on the 2018 Classic Sports Sedans season.
The Ipswich Classic will be the setting for the fourth and final round, with four races to be staged across the weekend.
It will be the category’s first championship outing since June, and their third visit to Queensland Raceway in 2018.
The nine-car field will share the track with the QR Sports and Sedans, and also the Production Utes Queensland series this weekend.
The last round of the series was won by Robert Gooley, in the Mitsubishi Evo normally seen at Time Attack events.
Of the nine entries lining up this weekend, there’ll be three TA2 Muscle Cars (Michael Kulig, Tim Tritton and Greg Willis), plus the MARC entry of Geoff Taunton, Grant Draney in the Chevrolet Monte Carlo, Tony Saint in the Mazda RX7, Travis Edwards in his Ford Escort, as well as Justin and Lachlan Gardner in the Tundra Oz Truck vehicles.
In all, a good mix of cars and trucks for the season finale, which will be contested over four 10-lap races on the 3.12km national circuit this weekend.
