Lakeside Park’s plaza receives special treatment ahead of All Aussie Father’s Day

The main plaza at Lakeside Park has had a full revamp ahead of one of the circuit’s most exciting events, the All Aussie Father’s Day.

The entrance, under the iconic ‘Lakeside Park’ sign has been fully resealed with multiple potholes filled.

As a consequence of the high water levels and changes in the dam wall, the asphalt surface has deteriorated rapidly in recent months.

Queensland Raceways is delighted to announce that these works have been completed and main plaza area is better than ever ahead of All Aussie Father’s Day on September 5.

The event is one of the biggest days at the north Brisbane circuit, which sees the track come alive with Australian manufactured machinery and families enjoying the unique Father’s Day celebrations.

The resurfacing is just part of many projects underfoot at Lakeside Park, with the instalment of a new spectator mound incoming as well as ongoing efforts to improve drainage at the facility.

The gates will open in the new pristine plaza area at 7am on the 5th of September, welcoming all attendees to the All Aussie Father’s Day. Tickets will be available at the gate for $10 per person, while cruises will be on sale in pitlane ($20 for the first three cruises, $10 for the following sessions).
